Malaria:
The causative organism for malaria is Plasmodium falciparum, the deadliest species of Plasmodium. The vector is the female Anopheles mosquito
The vector can be controlled by:
(i) Draining of stagnant water bodies where mosquitoes breed.
(ii) Clearing bushes around homes in which adult mosquitoes breed.
(iii) Using insect repellents, and mosquito nets to keep mosquitoes away and prevent insect bites.
