Physical properties of Carbon (IV) Oxide:

1. Carbon (IV) oxide is a colourless, odourless, and tasteless gas.

2. It is denser than air. Its density is 1.96 kg/m3, about 1.53 times that of air.

3. It is moderately soluble in water.

4. It turns moist blue litmus paper pink because carbon (IV) oxide dissolves in water to yield trioxocarbonate (IV) acid.
