There are people who are neither Christians nor Muslims. They are not atheists either, since they believe there is a Supreme Being. They worship deities who they believe are intermediaries between them and God. These devotees often belong to cults. Whenever anything happens which they cannot explain, they go to the diviner who consults the oracle for explanations. The oraclist gives them charms or amulets which are meant to protect them. Sometimes, they make sacrifices to appease the gods. They also perform rituals to achieve the same results.
