In our last lesson, we defined a record as a written account of something that is kept so that it can be looked at and used in the future. We noted that both individuals, private and public businesses, and government ministries and departments keep records. Individuals keep private records called diaries, business organizations keep sundry records of sales purchases, payroll, and general administrative expenses.
