Compound Sentences I – Evaluation

Read the following passage carefully and note the coordinating conjunctions that have been emphasized.

Ada went to the market last week and bought a pair of shoes. Bisi later saw the shoes and admired them very much. She went to buy a pair for herself but she could not find her size.

Ada likes the shoes very much and so does Bisi. Bisi can wear the shoes because she is Ada’s friend. Ada is fond of wearing the shoes and  Bisi is, too. Ada never likes to leave the shoes alone and Bisi does not either. Unfortunately, the shoes are losing colour fast. Ada does not like what is happening to the shoes and neither does Bisi. Yesterday, they both shed tears over the damage they had done to the shoes.
