In our previous lesson, we defined a compound sentence as a sentence that has two or more main clauses joined by coordinating conjunctions. We listed coordinating conjunctions to include and, and so, or, and …. to, nor, and … not either, but, and neither, yet.
Examples of Compound Sentences:
1. John worked hard but he failed the exam. (two main clauses)
