The Shape of the Earth:

In the past, sailors were afraid to sail far into the distant ocean because it was believed the Earth was like a table, that is, with a flat surface and edges. The sailors thought there was a possibility their ship would fall into the bottomless sea and they would perish. However, through various studies and experiments carried out over a long period from different parts of the world, we now know the theory the Earth is flat is incorrect. We know now the Earth has a spherical shape this theory is accepted as fact, worldwide.

Through research on Earth Science, different dimensions of the parts of the Earth are now known. Dimensions from the Polar regions to the Equator have now been obtained and we know the Earth’s dimensions increase from the polar regions to the equator.
