The Environment is vital to life because life on Earth is only possible due to the Environment.
The following show the Importance of the Environment:
1. The Environment is important because all living things exist and live in the various domains of the Environment. Living things exist in the Lithosphere, Atmosphere and Hydrosphere.
2. The Environment (specifically the Atmosphere) regulates the climate acting like a greenhouse and providing us with gases necessary for life.
3. The Environment (specifically the Hydrosphere) provides us with water which is essential for life and our well-being.
4. All mineral resources are derived from the Environment (specifically the Lithosphere).
5. The Environment provides us with a means of transportation and the ability to develop different modes of transportation. The Hydrosphere, Lithosphere and Atmosphere provide us with a means of transportation.
6. The Environment provides us with food necessary for life for all living things. The Atmosphere enables plants to manufacture their food while the Hydrosphere, Lithosphere and Atmosphere provide food for animals.
