Definition of Weather

The Weather refers to the daily atmospheric conditions of a specific place at any point in time.

There are various atmospheric conditions which are responsible for the weather, these are known as the elements of weather. These Elements are; temperature, rainfall, pressure, wind, cloud cover, brightness (sunshine), and humidity. These elements can be measured and are used to determine the weather.

The Weather is not constant but changes, these changes in the atmospheric conditions which create the Weather occur in the troposphere (the layer of the Atmosphere closest to the Earth’s surface). The study of the Weather is important to understand its effects on everyday life, nature and human activities. This study has become easier through Satellites which can accurately predict weather conditions.

Please Note: The average Weather of a place is used to determine the Climate of that area.
