What is a Nation?
A nation may be defined as a group of people living in a large community with common descent, language, culture and history e.g. Igbo nation, Hausa nation, Fulani nation, Yoruba nation.
A nation is made up of people who share homogeneous attributes. Different nations may exist in a state as a state may have heterogeneous or homogeneous attributes.
A nation is just a people; it does not possess sovereigntySovereignty is a political concept that refers to dominant power or supreme authority. In a monarchy, supreme power resides in the "sovereign", or king. In modern democracies, sovereign power rests with... More like a state. It cannot set up a government to make and enforce laws within a territorial area like a state.
