Citizen: A citizen is a bonafide member of a state who enjoys some entitlements (political, legal, economical, social) and privileges from the state while they discharge duties and obligations to the state.

Citizenship: It is the status of individuals enjoying legal, political, social and economic rights in a state.

Way of Acquiring Citizenship:

Way of Acquiring Citizenship can be acquired through the following ways:

(i) Citizenship by Birth: A person born in a state in which his parents are citizens will become a citizen of that state. In some states too, anyone born in their country, even on an aeroplane, or ship, becomes a citizen of that country e.g. in some states in the USA. Citizenship by birth can only be denied only by denunciation.
