What is a One-Party System?
In a one-party system, only a single political party is legally recognized to contest elections. One Political Party exists.
Socialist and communist states operate one-party systems e.g. Kenya, Cuba, China, North Korea, etc.
Characteristics of One-Party System:
(i) Only one political party is legally recognized.
(ii) Contestants for Political Posts can only emerge from a single party.
