  • Types of Sets

There are various types of sets and these include Equality of Sets, Empty sets, Infinite sets, Finite sets, Equivalent sets, Subsets, and Universal sets. All these sets have their own importance in Mathematics.

There is a lot of usage of sets in our day-to-day life, but normally they are used to represent bulk data or collection of data in a database. 

Equality of Sets:

Definition:

Two sets A and B are said to be equal if they contain the same elements. e.g. If A = {b, a, d, c} and B = {b, a, d, c, a, d}

Note that A contains the same elements as B with elements “a” and “d” repeated.
