What is a Prism?
Prisms are three-dimensional solid shapes that have two identical, parallel, polygon bases connected by parallelogram faces. Some examples of prisms are cubes, cuboids, and triangular prisms.
Cross-section of a Prism:
A prism has a cross-section which is exactly the same shape and size throughout its length. For example, a triangular prism has a triangular cross-section. Let us consider a right-angled triangular prism as shown below:
