There are two classes of solid, namely;

1. Crystalline and
2. Non-crystalline or amorphous solid.

What distinguishes the two classes is the arrangement of the atoms or molecules in the solids.

In this lesson we will be describing the structure of crystals with examples and highlight the differences between crystalline and non-crystalline substances.
