Meaning: The interactions between two or more types of organisms in an ecosystem is known as association, which may be beneficial, harmful, or natural to each of the organism in the association.

Symbiosis is a close association between two or more species of organism. Symbiosis could be in any of these three types of relationships.

i. Parasitism

ii. Mutualism

iii. Commensalism

In these associations, at least one of the organisms benefits.
