Organisms are affected by various ecological factors in their environment, such as light, temperature, pH, heat and moisture.

What is Tolerance?

The ability of an organism to withstand unfavourable ecological factors in its habitat is referred to as tolerance. 

Each of these factors occurs over a range in the various habitats called tolerance range.
