Topic Content:
- Mass-Liquid Volume Calculations
In this type of reaction, the mass is given and the volume of the liquid has to be determined.
Example 6.6.1:
What volume of 2.0 M HCl will be required to react completely with 6.5 g of zinc.
[Zn = 65, H = 1, Cl = 35.5]
Equation of reaction:
Zn[s] + 2HCl[aq] → ZnCl2[aq] + H2[g]
Solution
1 mole of Zn[s] ⇒ 2
