What is Stoichiometry?

Stoichiometry is the study of the quantitative relationship implied by chemical reactions. It is also a term chemists use to describe calculations involving mass relationships between compounds, molecules and atoms participating in a chemical reaction.

The mole is a convenient unit of quantity of particles. It can be likened to “a quantity” of things in everyday life like a dozen, a score, a gross etc.
