Isomerism is the existence of two or more organic compounds with the same molecular formula but different structural formulas.
There are, broadly, two types of isomerism: structural isomerism and stereoisomerism. Each of which is further divided.
Structural Isomerism:
Structural isomers have the same molecular formula, but different arrangements of the atoms in space.
