This is the process of sending data and information from one place to another, using a computer and telephone as the channels of transmission. The sender must be connected to the internet. The receiver of electronic mail messages can only do so using a computer that is also connected to the internet to read the messages. Both the sender and receiver of an e-mail must have an e-mail address through which they can communicate with each other.
Advantages of E-Mail:
1. It is faster than traditional mail facilities within a company.
2. Messages can be stored.
Disadvantages of E-Mail:
1. The system can be overburdened by the sending of junk mail.
2. Both senders and receivers must face the task of clearing obsoleteno longer produced or used; out of date. More messages from the system periodically.
