Writing a Play (Drama):
A play is a literary work written to be performed by actors. Playwriting requires a lot of imagination and talent. A well-written script (play) will have characterization, costume, etc, blending.
Features of a Play:
The features of a play are similar to those of a short story, but with the following differences:
1. The focus is on characters and characterization. That is, what do the dramatis personae say and how do they say them?
2. Since characters interact in dialogue, the tense can be present, past or future, as is suitable. Short forms of verbs and slang are allowed.
