When Rounding Off Numbers, it is important to know that the digits 1, 2, 3, and 4 are rounded-down while the digits 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 are rounded up.
Example 6.1.1:
Round off 98537 to the nearest:
i. Ten
ii. Hundred
iii. Thousand
Solution:
i. 98537 = 98540 to the nearest ten
