By the end of this topic the student should be able to:

• Solve quadratic equations using
  • a. Method of completing the square
  • b. The quadratic formula also referred to as the Almighty formula
• Derive the quadratic formula as well as identify and compare the terms in the in quadratic equation with terms in the formula
• Solve linear and quadratic equations from graphs
• Determine/Calculate the gradient of a curve at a given point or tangent.
