When light rays travel in a medium and get to the barrier, they are reflected or turned back to the medium they are coming from.
The throwing off or turning back of light rays after striking a barrier is called reflection.
Types of Reflection:
There are two types of reflection namely:
Regular Reflection: This occurs when a parallel beam of light strikes a smooth surface and is reflected in a regular repeating pattern e.g. a mirror or polished shiny surface.
