1. Aspergillosis (Respiratory System):

a. Causal Organisms:

It is caused by a Fungus called Aspergillus fumigatus or Aspergillaus flavus.

b. Animal Affected:

Poultry Birds, Pigs and Cattle.

c. Mode of Transmission:

  • Through air currents
  • Direct contact with infected animals
  • Spores may also form on wounds of animals
  • Contaminated feed

d. Symptoms/Effects:

  • Abortion in cattle
  • Loss of appetite and weight in poultry
  • Nervous sign in turkey
  • Difficult breathing
  • Whistling noise
  • Skin irritation
  • Anorexia
  • Respiratory disorder
  • High temperature
  • General unthriftiness of the infected animal
  • Low market value
