1. Trypanosomiasis:

a. Causal Organism:

It is caused by a protozoan called Trypanosome spp. e.g. Trypanosome vivax, T. congolensis, T. gambiensi, Trypanosome brucei.

b. Animals Affected:

  • Resistant Breeds of Cattle: N’Dama, Muturu and Keteku.
  • Susceptible Breeds of Cattle: White Fulani, Red Bororo, Kuri Chad, Sokoto Gudali and Boron.
