Organ of Smell (Nose):
The nose is the organ of smell in animals. It contains smell receptors which are stimulated by chemicals. The stimulus of smell is received in the olfactory lobes of the brain.

Particles in the air dissolve in the mucus lining of the nostrils, the receptors become stimulated on reception of the impulse of smell, which is transmitted to the brain for interpretation.

The tongue is the organ of taste
