The pinna collects sound waves in the air and directs them into the external auditory meatus, the sound waves impinge in the eardrum causing it to vibrate.
The vibrating tympanic membrane causes the ear ossicles to move to and fro which amplifies the sound.
As the malleus vibrates, it transmits the sound vibrations to the other two small bones or ossicles of the middle ear, the incus and stapes.
As the stapes moves, it pushes a structure called the oval window (or fenestra vestibuli ) in
