Habitat:

Termites are commonly found in dark, damp areas where they are not exposed to air in temperate regions. They require a source of moisture to survive. They live together in large communities in nests which may be in anthills or termitaria or tunnels in dead wood in the tropics.

Termitarium is a nest built by a colony of termites underground, aboveground (usually as a mound), or in a tree.

Castes of Termites:

All the various individuals in a termite colony are grouped into reproductive, soldiers and workers.
