Nigeria has a proven crude oil reserve of 36,972 million barrels and large volumes of natural gas. Large crude oil has been found in the Niger delta.
About three-fifths of the world’s crude oil reserve is in Asia. Most of it is in the Middle East region of the continent. China and Indonesia also have large crude oil reserves. Russia, the United States, Canada, Venezuela, and Australia have large crude oil reserves too. The remaining important crude oil reserves are found in northern and western African countries.
