Consumer Association is formed by consumers so as to protect their members against the consumption of dangerous goods and to check against exploitation by producers through an increase in the price of goods.

Functions of Consumer Association

i. To ensure that goods are fairly charges.

ii. To educate consumers on their rights.

iii. To ensure that consumers buy quality goods

iv. To ensure correct specification in terms of volumes and weight.

v. To protect consumers from the purchase of harmful goods.
