Below are some reasons for commercialization;

1. Reduction in Operational Inefficiency: To reduce operational inefficiency and gross incompetence on the part of the management.

2. Revenue Generation: It helps the government to generate revenue.

3. Eradication of Corruption: It helps to reduce or eradicate mismanagement corruption and embezzlement of government funds.

4. Attraction of Foreign Investment: It will help to attract direct foreign investment into the country’s economy.

5. Profit Orientation: It will help to reposition the organization on the part of profitability and viability.

6. Elimination of Problem of Obsolete Technology: It reduces the problem of outdated equipment. It will attract new investors that will help to do away with absolute equipment.

7. Liberalization of the Economy: It allows free competition among private investors.

8. To Relieve the Government of Burden OF Finance: The government will be free from unproductive investment in form of subventions and subsidies to public enterprises.

9. To Reduce Excessive Governmental Control: The problem of excessive bureaucratic control and intervention on the part of the government will be addressed.
