Achievements of Major General Buhari/Brigadier Idiagbon Regime:

1. Buhari’s government made efforts to recover some of the nation’s stolen wealth. It set up Military Tribunals that tried many political leaders in an attempt to recover the stolen wealth.

2. It adopted policies that aimed at revamping the economy such as changing the currency, re-organising Nigerian embassies abroad and reducing the funds that expatriate residents in Nigeria could remit abroad from 50% to 25% of their net earnings.
