Definition: A compound bar chart consists of two or more sets of information that are used for comparing the sets of data collected. When only two sets are information compared, it is called a dual bar chart.

SECTIONAL BAR CHART

Definition: A sectional bar chart is used when data can be divided into its component parts. The sectional bar chart is particularly useful when the summation of two or more items is of interest.

Bar – line Graph (Zero width bar chart)

Definition: This graph is drawn exactly the same way as bar charts, but instead of drawing rectangular bars, we draw vertical or horizontal lines to show the frequency.
