Performance Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, you should be able to:
- Convert a galvanometer to ammeter (shunt) and voltmeter (multiplier)
- Solve simple problems on multipliers and shunts
- Use potentiometer, Wheatstone bridge and Metre Bridge to compare e.m.f resistances.
- Explain the basic principles of the potentiometer circuit
- State and demonstrate the condition for a balanced Wheatstone bridge circuit and deduce the condition for a balanced metre bridge
