What is our inheritance as children of God
1 John 3:1 ESV /
“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”
The scripture makes us to clearly understand that we are God’s children. But why then are we not behaving like God’s children? For example, If the son of the US president Joe Biden goes anywhere, he has access to all the power, houses, fame etc. his father has access to.
2 Peter 1:3
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.”
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”
The scripture clearly tells us here that God wants us to be the best in every single thing we do. All we just need to do is to work hard and put extra effort and he will finish it with the finishers touch by crowning it with success.
3. Ecclesiastes 9:10
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.”
4. Proverbs 16:3
“Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.”
