Glacial Erosion:

As discussed earlier, glaciers are huge sheets of ice that move due to their weight and the pull of gravity. As glaciers move, they shape and modify the Earth’s surface through the removal and transportation of sediments and rocks. This process is known as Glacial Erosion.

1. Freeze-thaw Weathering:

This involves the break-up of rocks by alternate thawing and freezing of water at the bottom of cracks between a glacier and the valley (or mountain) floor or side, breaking up rocks.
