- Metalwork Cutting Tools
In metalwork, the tools used for cutting include chisels, files, scrapers, snips or shears and hacksaws.
1. Files:
Files are used for finishing and smoothening metals to the required size and shape.
The teeth of a file are known as the ‘cut’ and are created by a ‘single cut’ across the file blade or a ‘double cut’ which creates diamond-shaped teeth.
