- Woodwork Driving Tools
In woodworking, a driving tool is any tool used to push (drive) another object, e.g. nails and screws, into the wood. Their main function is to connect two pieces of wood or to connect wood to another material e.g. a wooden frame to a wall.
1. Hammer:
In woodwork, a hammer is a tool you can use to drive or remove nails, fit parts, strike chisels and framing joints. There are different types of hammers used in woodwork.

Types of Hammers:
a. Claw hammer: This is one of the most basic driving tools in woodworking.

It has two parts, a head to drive in nails, and a handle to pull out nails and other works.

b. Ball-pein hammer: This hammer is often used for hammering and shaping metal. It is also used to strike chisels and punches. It contains one flat end and one round end on the hard steelhead. In woodwork, it is used for hammering nails into wood but it is not an essential woodworking tool.
