Conflict can be expressed or exhibited in various ways amongst some categories of people or groups which include: inter-personal, intra-personal, inter-ethnic or intra-national, intra-ethnic, and international conflict.
Intra-personal conflict:
This is a conflict within one’s self. It is a situation where an individual is having issues within himself. It can be a conflict of emotions or choice, which brings confusion to a person.
Inter-Personal:
This is a conflict or disagreement between two or more people, it can be a conflict between husband and wife, siblings, friends neighbours, etc. due to one reason or the other.
Inter-Ethnic:
This can also be called Intra-National, or Communal Conflict. It is a conflict that exists between two or more ethnic groups or within a nation. This conflict may be based on religious, political or cultural matters, boundaries, sharing of resources, etc e.g Nigeria/Biafra war, Fulani-Benue conflict, etc.
Intra-Ethnic:
This is a conflict disagreement within the same ethnic group. It can be a conflict or disagreement based on land, kingship, or things shared together. e.g Ife-Modakeke, Kaduna-Zango Kertaff fight, Urhobo-Itsekiru conflict in Delta State, etc.
International Conflict:
This is the disagreement or war between a nation and another, based on many reasons such as political, economic, etc eg. Iran and Iraq.
Religious Conflict:
This is a situation where people condemn one another’s religious beliefs. Also, the imposition of one’s faith on others.
