- Definition of Miracle
What is a Miracle?
According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a Miracle is “an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.” People who do not believe God exists also do not believe miracles happen. Some people believe God does not interfere with our human lives therefore miracles do not exist.
As Christians who believe in God, we believe miracles happen constantly because God works in our human world and He interferes with our lives. A miracle is a sign of God’s special intervention in human affairs.
Jesus used miracles during his earthly ministry to demonstrate the power of God on earth. The miracles Jesus performed can be divided into three groups.
The three groups of Miracles Jesus performed are;
i. Miracles of Healing.
ii. Miracles in Nature.
iii. Miracles of raising people from the dead.
The Miracles Jesus performed show us that He truly is the Son of God.
