There are Three Eras of the Origin of Agriculture

(i) Paleolithic Era (Old Stone Age):

This period was roughly 2.5 million years ago to 10,000 B.C.

Palaeolithic Era

This is when people lived in caves. Their major need was how to get food. Agricultural practices in that era included hunting, fishing, and gathering fruits. The men hunted game or fished and the women collected berries, nuts, and roots. 

Agricultural tools used in paleolithic age were produced from stone, wood and animal bones. They were used to skin animals, harvest vegetables etc.
