What is Discipline?

Discipline means the training of the mind and character, to have self-control and habit of obedience.

It also means the ability of an individual, to reflect on societal values and expectations in carrying out activities, as to when, where, and how such activities are expected to be done.

It is a mental disposition which instills the right attitude, of doing the right thing, at the right time, and at all times, without being forced or persuaded to do so.

Finally, discipline helps us to be well-behaved, adjusted, and useful to our society. An individual who obeys rules and regulations is seen as a disciplined person.
