Evolution is a process which involves the change in the genes of a population over a long time. A population is the smallest group that can evolve.

Evidence of Evolution:

1. Evidence from Fossils:

Fossils are preserved remains, impressions, or traces, of any once-living organism. About 99% of organisms that ever lived are now extinct. It is believed that the history of life can be traced to fossils using radioisotopes or carbon dating.
