A Nigerian, Chinasa Nweze has emerged as the best student in the 2021 West African Examinations Council in the whole of West Africa. Nweze came tops from among the over 1,500,000 candidates that sat for the exam in West Africa.
The award ceremony to reward her academic feat which saw her bag eight A’s was held during the 70th Annual Council Meeting of WAEC. The award ceremony which was held in Abuja attracted the presence of the Nigerian Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Nigerian Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare, Nigerian Minister of State for Education, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba as well as other top government functionaries. The Vice-President, while presenting the award to her, commended the excellent performance of Nweze and urged other candidates to emulate her.
