Lyttleton Constitution 1954
The inadequacies of the 1951 Macpherson Constitution, gave room for the 1954 Lyttleton Constitution. It was named after Oliver Lyttleton.
Oliver Lyttleton was a British businessman from the Lyttelton family, who was brought into government during the Second World War, holding a number of ministerial posts.
The 1953 London and 1954 Lagos constitutional conferences were inevitable.
