Primary Memory / Main Memory Or Internal Memory:

The main memory is used to hold the instructions and information, which are used by the computer at any time. When we type a set of instructions on the keyboard of a computer, the instructions are first put into the Main memory. Then, when we tell the computer to obey some instructions, they are taken one after the other and put into the processor.

Kinds Of Main Memory

There are two kinds of Main memory:

  • The Random Access Memory (RAM)
  • The Read-Only Memory (ROM)
