Jesus Obeyed His Parents (Luke 2:51-52)

Jesus is from Nazareth. He grew up to have the fear of God.

Everyone in his neighbourhood knew him to be a responsible child.

He was obedient to his parents. He was hard working and a very respectful child.

Jesus as a child was honest, everyone who knew him spoke well of him.

He attended the synagogue school in Nazareth. He was taught about God’s dealings with his father with the call of Abraham.

He learnt about the important festivals of the Jews and the reasons for celebrating them. Some of the festivals Jesus learnt were; The Passover, the Feast of Tabernacles, and the feast of Pentecost. He also learnt about the law and its importance in maintaining good relationships.

At age twelve, Jesus graduated from the synagogue school. He was given the title Ben Torah, which means: “Son of the Law”.
