What are Rocks?

Rocks are part of the earth’s crust and are composed of different minerals elements such as silica, which contains silicon and oxygen.

The Earth’s crust is 25 miles, or 40 km deep and is composed of solid rocks and minerals that cooled and solidified when the Earth was young.

Types of Rocks:

There are three kinds of rock: igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic.

We will discuss each type of rock in the upcoming topics.
